Ooh La La

So hey everyone (And by 'everyone' I mean myself, blogging only for self-satisfaction and to force myself to beleive that people care about me on the internet)! I have some GOOD NEWS.

My dear friend Jaime and I are going to Disney World :)

We leave on December 5th and are home on the 12th (5 days before Tron!). We're going to WDW for 4 days and Universal Studios for 2 (Wizarding World of Harry Potter, anyone?) , and I AM SO EXCITED. We found this chart online that says the sightings of all the Disney mascots and where... I swear I'll find you, Shang, even if I have to camp out in the China Pavillion ALL DAY.

It is my personal goal to NOT see Mickey.

So anyway, more to come later when I'm not sitting around in bed being useless and I can actually use my brain to document this excitement.

In other news: The Central Canada Comic Con is in about a month, and I don't have to rush to finish any costumes! :D I've got my Ramona Flowers cosplay, which I may tweak or I may just say, "Screw it" and leave it how it is, which is... good enough, and I have my Yuna cosplay! I still need to make the earrings for that and I guess I never got a staff. Heh. BUT ANYWAY. Can't wait :)

Pounds left to lose for Ideal Kuja weight: 6. Awwwww yeah.

BTW, I bought my wig for Kuja! It should be arriving in the mail this week if Canada Post decides not to be a tool and keep it for two months like my Yuna cosplay!

Something Mundane That Only Nerds Care About

Hey, so. I love to cosplay. But I really want to be a good cosplayer one day. Right now I'm kind of.... Meh (check it out, http://handheld.deviantart.com , all my crap is there).

I really want to make a really good Roxas cosplay. Is Roxas too outdated? I mean, the Akuroku fandom came in 2006 with Kingdom Hearts 2, but I guess Days came out last year, and with Birth By Sleep out in 18...17 days?.. It's a little more... Current. I JUST LOVE ROXAS AND AXEL TOGETHER, YOU KNOW?

Anyway I want to be one of those roxas cosplayers that the cool fangirls on DeviantArt are all up ons. LOL. Maybe one day. Probably not though. Right now it's like... Not so good. :/

Okay so GOALS:

Lose 5-10 lbs because let's face it, I CAN
Be an awesome cosplayer
Eternally tweak my Roxas cosplays (that are upcoming)
Mentally prepare myself to be Kuja next year at Ai-Kon and prove to everyone that I CAN DO IT.

So like. Roxas.

Hey so I think I might get my septum pierced. Still stewing on that though. If not I'll get my nose pierced. My ultimatum: Lose that fat and reward self with an AWESOME PIERCING. Because I would just look cooler with an edgy septum piercing if I looked cooler all around ;)

Ai-Kon and Stuff 2010

Okay So I copy and pasted this from my DA (http://handheld.deviantart.com), and it copied all the icons and emoticons. That was cool.
---
Okay so Ai-kon was a week ago and I didn't blog or journal about it or anything so la-dee-da

On Friday, I was casual Roxas. I understand it's a total cop out, but it's better than nothing. My dear friend Jaime was my casual Axel. :) And the lovely Alyssa was Namine. Needless to say they fought over my love. HOWEVER, on Friday I had to leave around 5 to go to my cousin's wedding, but I was back aaaaat 830? 830ish, yeah. So anyway.

We stayed at the Delta and there were 7 of us in a room. LOL WUT?!

Jaime and I slept on the balcony.

OR SHOULD I SAY

AXEL AND ROXAS SLEPT ON THE BALCONY?! http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w102/soup_4_u/35155_10150234667695093_854185092_13651008_1215468_n.jpg

lol NAAAAT
We suck. In an awesome sort of way. The balcony was the most terrific thing EVER!

Anyway, Saturday I was Yuna from Final Fantasy X, and lovely Alyssa was Rikku. We are cute :) My contacts were wonderful, I really enjoyed how my eyes looked. And my wig looked so legit. We had so much fun. COUSINS!!

Friday night Jaime and I had stayed up until 6am finishing Bree's Fran (FFXII) cosplay that I made... It was a feat and I stressed poor Bree out :( Sorry!! I suck. Ah ha ha. But I finished and I think it looked pretty good and everyone seemed to like it (maybe not everyone... AMIRITE?! COVER UP, WHORE)

We watched the sunrise from our balcony bed :)

We also watched a prostitute fight. :D

I love downtown Winnipeg. So much.

Anyhoo, we then started at 930 piecing Bree's armor together (930? Maybe that's just when we woke up). It took until 2 before we were all ready to go down to the convention. I guess that's why the weekend seemed to fly by faster than it usually does!

AND THEN There was the dance, which was wonderful, Jaime and I dressed and Axel and Roxas again and danced for about half an hour (we weren't even planning on going) and stayed until the end of Every Time We Touch... Then we ran out holding hands. We were headed back to the hotel but thought we would get some attention. We ran through the lobby and up the escalators and FANGIRLS WEPT AT THE SIGHT OF US. Okay, maybe not wept. Some definitely cheered though. It was very fun and very cute and my favourite part of the weekend.

SUNDAY MORNING
AXEL LEFT BEFORE I WOKE UP THIS MORNING

He says that in Days. Seriously! Like WTF

Anyway Jaime and her sister left early :( And I was Yako from something something Nogami Neuro. Nogami Neuro something something. I dunno. I was comfy :3

I bought this great anime in the "Samurai Horror Tales" series, by the name of "Goblin Cat". It was extremely powerful and brought us all to tears. Very sad. Absolutely terrific. I recommend it to everyone!

Plans for next year?

Goal: Lose 7 lbs. No wait. 6. ;)

My work diet is really helping.

Something Important I Would Like to Discuss.

I would like to discuss emo kids. I mean, the ones that force themselves into the gloomy disposition of the stereotypical emotional. You know the ones. The ones who, when you ask them how they feel about rainbows, say, "I'd like them better if they were.... Black." and swoop their hair to the side (actual example).

Maybe not necessarily 'emo' (what an outdated term. What is this, 2006?), but that whole subculture of teenagers who complain about their lives, have extended Facebook names, if boys, dress like girls, and if girls, look like little boys who look like girls.

I would like to ask a question regarding these children: Why do you claim to thrive in the darkness when all of your profile pictures and albums are of you making out and saying how much you love your girlfriend? Do you pretend to be one, or are you just a living, breathing oxymoron? Discuss.

A Message On Homework For People Who Feel They Need Some Motivation

I am here today to give people some advice about their homework.

I put off my math homework all week because I was planning on doing it today, because I didn't think I was going along to the family gathering, because my parents said I didn't have to. Then this morning my dad was like, 'We're all going to go instead', and I was like, 'EF', so now, I think I just won't
do my homework. It doesn't help that my math teacher is a douche, but that's okay. I'll survive. I have three months left, so if I really cared about getting my mark up (It's at a comfortable 68. As long as it doesn't get any lower), I could. Not that math matters to me at all. See? I really don't care about things as much as anyone else.

The moral is, if you care about your marks, don't put off homework until the last day. Because something WILL come up that you think you have gotten out of. Put it off to the second last day at least.

Now, in the words of Ness' mother, "Eat some [food] and scoot up to bed!". The best parts about that is, you can enter anything you want as your favourite food. "Eat some babies and scoot up to bed!"

Cuba v2

So. I went to Cuba.

AND.

I got stung by a jellyfish.

YOU HEARD IT HERE, FOLKS.
THE ONLY ONE CAUTIOUS ABOUT GETTING EATEN BY LEVIATHAN OR SWEPT AWAY BY UNDERTOWS WAS THE ONLY ONE TO FACE THE THREATS OF THE OCEAN.

It's not like it was a man 'o' war or anything (and holy crap, were those huge. Well... medium. They were so pretty I wish I could have picked it up), it was just a little jellyfish, or a few little jellyfish, for they stung Nicole as well when the wave swept them against us. We weren't allowed to go into the water that day (not that I would on that grimy, ugly beach), except we could wade in and get splashed by waves. Unfortunately those waves had jellyfish in them. My lower legs stung for the rest of the evening. It sucked. A couple days later we were at the same beach and we saw that the sea had washed up a trail of these little jellyfish. They were about 2 inches big and a beautiful blue coloured. I promptly named them all "Satan".

(I think it's worth noting right now that I am sick in bed whilst typin
g this, and I hear a strange siren that sounds unlike any siren I've ever heard, along with ambulances and firemen and stuff. This siren sounds like an alien invasion, or more specifically, Giygas' attack on Eagleland and surrounding countries)

I DID go into the ocean when we went to the nice beach, though. The one with no jellyfish and you could see right to the bottom.

We also went to this baseball game that lasted like, 5 hours. Baseball is more important there than hockey is to Canada, and I can say that while it impressed me that there was about 50,000 p
eople in the stadium making as much noise as humanly possible, that was the worst 5 hours in my entire life. I hate to say that, because, you know, I'm in freaking Cuba, but I can honestly not remember a time in which I have felt that miserable. It was just a horrible experience; I couldn't hear anything, the bathrooms had shat all over the place (don't get me started on Cuban bathrooms. At least now right now), the one armed man had the worst homemade instrument ever and would not shut up, it was so humid (don't get me started on how sensitive my poor skin is - heat rash in winter? Yay). I was even looking forward to going, it's not like I went in with a bad attitude about it. I almost started crying like 10 times. It was bad. It doesn't sound that bad, I guess. You had to be there.

So those were the only miserable parts of the whole trip. Actually, I kind of like that I was stung by a jellyfish, it's a good story. So really baseball was the only miserable part of the whole trip. The best part was the portions of pizza they would give you at lunch and how you always got ice cream for desert. And good ice cream, too.

In other news, I am officially a pseudo-stalker, and by 'pseudo', I mean, 'learning', and by 'learning', I mean, 'Facebook'. What, pray tell, am I talking about?! Surely not a boy. I shouldn't admit that.

(This was seriously at the airport in Cuba. Real life Engrish! And I saw it first!!)

It's Time to Talk Cosplay

That's right, the new year is upon us, and as such, we must discuss how this year is looking for cosplay.

I am cosplaying as Yuna from Final Fantasy X. Although I would be able to make her outfit, I just figured with the commissions I've taken plus my own other pretty fabulous one, I would not have the time (nor the funds) to make this costume. So I bought it on eBay for 50 bucks (there was a sale!) It came in the mail today and it looks absolutely wonderful, I just need to paint some things so that they're perfect. :) I'm also going to purchase a beautiful brown wig and green contacts for my right eye.

I'm also cosplaying as the young Simon from Gurren Lagann. Also Lagann. That's right. Cardboard Lagann will make an appearance. You have no idea how excited I am. I'll be able to walk around the convention center in a robot. Kick-ass.

I'm doing 3 commissions: An adorable Gothic Lolita dress, Advent Children Cloud, and Fran from Final Fantasy XII. I'm very excited as all of these will help me hone some skills in some way or another. I'm not taking on any more commissions, though, so if you wanted something, you've missed out. I will consider it if you live near here and will pay for everything up front, however. It's mostly a fund thing for me, rather than time. Although once I get a legitimate job, it'll be more of a time thing rather than funds.

So, Ai-Kon 2010, I'm coming for you in full force. Beware the iron fist of my awesomeness!

On another note, this Salad for lunch Soup for supper diet is going pretty well. I can feel the difference when I actually eat breakfast in the morning, although I've had to start out really small, like a piece of toast, because I just get sick if I eat too much since I'm not used to eating breakfast. And I have been keeping up DDR every other day. I haven't seen a huge change in my weight yet, but then again, I haven't really checked, so we'll see! Wii Fit tomorrow!

ALSO: I can't post pictures for some reason. Someone smart should help me. The video box opens fine, but when I click on the 'add image' button, it does nothing.

Life is a Competition and other Epiphanies

Today, someone in choir said, "Life is a competition." And you know, that isn't true. Unless life is a 'See Who Can Die First' Competition. In which case, we're all losing.

That's actually all I have for now.

Sometimes it doesn't let me upload pictures.

My List of Things to Accomplish What are in No Way Related to New Year's Resolutions

Okay. This is what's happening (Hey, I said I was going to start blogging about serious stuff!):

1) Lose ~15 lbs (Before Ai-Kon). Not because I'm upset with how I look. I'm upset with how I feel.
2) Beat Final Fantasy XII
3) Go on a REAL date.
4) Learn to 'Enjoy Everything'. Yotsuba knows how to do things.
5) Find someone who appreciates how smart and witty I am.
6) Get a job. Now, this isn't MY fault. I'm being discriminated against because of my hair colour. You jerks.
7) Produce decent art for once. Instead of just doodles.
8) Paint more.
9)

This list will be updated as I think of things. HA HA HA.

Things Happening in January Only for the Reason of Experiments, Each Related to My General Health, Because My General Health is Awful:

1) Drink a water bottle every weekday. Monday to Friday. A whole bottle.
2) Eat salads for lunch. As often as possible.
3) No junk food on weekdays. Exceptions for puppy chow and the occasional eating out. In real restaurants. Which brings me to me next point:
4) Cut back on fast food. As little as possible. Sometimes you just can't help it. Okay so, No going to fast food places on my own free will.
5) No Kraft Dinner and no instant noodles. Not that I have those very often.
6) Real breakfast. Like eggs. 2 eggs. Scrambled. As opposed to NO breakfast.
7) DDR every Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Wii Fit every Tuesday, Thursday. I understand Wii Fit is under mass public scrutiny. But I love Wii Fit. So suck it.

I think that's it.
